Scholarship Information 2012-2013

Scholarship Information 2012-2013   Updated: December 5th, 2012

Students should check the school website (under Guidance) and edline regularly for information on scholarships and other graduation details as information is updated weekly. Most Scholarships will be available during the second semester. However, here are some scholarships with upcoming deadlines:

1) TD Scholarship for Community Leadership - Deadline: Dec 7th, 2012
Value: 20 at up to $70,000
Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated on their demonstration of community leadership and must have an academic average of 75% and above.

2) Burger King Scholars Program - Deadline: Jan 10th, 2013
Value: multiple-up to $50,000
Criteria: The applicant will be evaluated based on their integrity, high standards, citizenship, entrepreneurial spirit, and education.

3) Terry Fox Humanitarian Award - Deadline: Feb 1st, 2013
Value: 20 at unspecified amount
Criteria: The candidate must be someone who is going to post-secondary in the fall at an accredited institution, has overcome an obstacle in their life, and has volunteered to help others in need.

4) Toyota Earth Day Scholarship - Deadline: Feb 15th, 2013
Value: 20 at $5,000
Criteria: This is for a student who is very involved with the environment and helping to make the earth a cleaner place. The applicant must also be going to post-secondary in the fall.
 
5) Dialogue NB New Brunswick Scholarship - Deadline: April 19th, 2013
Value: 2 at $1,000
Criteria: The applicant must be a grade 12 student who is going to post0secondary in the fall.
 
6) Aboriginal Student Awards
Aboriginal students are encouraged to go to:  http://aboriginallynx.ca/aboriginal-student-scholarships to see a list of scholarships offered to Aboriginal students attending post-secondary in the fall.
 
It is recommended that students go to these websites and register as you will be sent scholarship updates regularly.
