Student Representative Council
Group responsible for organizing and implementing school
activities such as spirit days, Christmas Cabaret, Haunted House, and pep
rallies.

Grad Class Executive
Consists
of a small group of Grade 12 students who plan events & activities for
their entire graduating class. Students will select what grad clothes are
ordered, organize & run the Grad Overnighter and aid in planning the Prom.

Yearbook Committee
Working
on the Yearbook is a great way to get involved, and to help put together the
most important book of your school year - the 2021/2022 yearbook!

Gay Straight Alliance
Aim is to create a safe, welcoming and accepting environment for all youth in our school regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. It is a place to learn, grow and have fun with others. Everyone is welcome!

Spirit Committee
This club is for any Seabee who wants to promote school spirit throughout the year. Our main purpose is to promote and be involved in all activities put on by our student council, promote a positive view of Simonds within the community and spread positivity throughout the school.

TADD
A group of students interested in educating their peers about the
dangers of impaired driving. Students participate in road stops and partner
with the Police and other community members to fundraise for this important
cause.

Sign Language Club
This is
a basic introduction into American Sign Language (ASL). We eat lunch and
chat with our fingers full. We try to meet every other week as a group,
but the room is open during most lunch hours.

Chess Club
This club is for anyone
new to the game, looking to improve or become more competitive. Students play
during lunch hours.

Wildlife Protection Crew
This club is dedicated to helping endangered and
vulnerable species. We focus on fundraising to donate money to conservation
efforts and educating people about these animals and threats to their
environments.

Billiards
Club
Looking
to hone your skills on the billiards table? The billiards room is open on Wellness Wednesdays. All are welcome to play.

Weight
Room
Students
have access to the weight room each lunch hour to use the equipment to get in
shape and de-stress. There is always someone there who can assist with the
equipment.

Reach for the Top
Reach for the Top is a Canadian academic quiz competition for high school students. In the past, it has also been a game show nationally broadcast on the CBC. Now it is aired via the Internet, including on their official YouTube channel. Teams qualify for national rounds through several stages of non-televised tournaments held at high schools throughout Canada during the year which are known as Schoolreach.

Club
Travel to Poley Mountain
once a week for 6 weeks. Members are provided with transportation to and from
Poley Mountain, a one-hour lesson, a lift ticket, and, if needed, skis or a
snowboard to rent.

Green & Gold Day
We have numerous Green &
Gold days throughout the school year. Come decked out head to toe in Green
& Gold to show your school spirit.
Grad Class Overnighter
A huge event for Graduates only. Spend the night in school doing fun activities and making memories with your fellow graduates.

Winter Cabaret
Our Winter Formal is always a big night. Come dressed up and dance the night away amid the winter themed decorations.

Pink Day
This is one of our biggest
theme days in support of Breast Cancer Research. We usually have fun activities
and if the weather cooperates, we even do a walk.
Haunted House
If you like to scare people,
this even is for you. This is one of our biggest events of the year. We always
need lots of volunteers to make it happen. Be sure to listen to announcements.

Simonds GOT Talent
A friendly competition where
our Seabees get to showcase their talent to a live audience. Listen for
announcements regarding practice and performance date.
