​Good afternoon! Today is Sunday, November 28 and this is Ms. McGrath with a few messages for Raiders and their Families. 

River Valley Middle is back! We had a great week this week with ASAP in full swing, Vinnie’s pizza up and running and Jersey Day and school-wide Bingo on Friday! It is so satisfying to be able to return to many of our traditional activities and share so much fun with our Raiders!

A few reminders:

1. Report Cards & Parent Teacher

-Report Cards will go home with students tomorrow, Monday, November 29. Please review the Report Card with your child using the parent rubric attached. Grade Scale for Parents - November.docx

-Parent/Teacher Meetings will be held virtually again this year. The link below will take you to the online booking site. You must move the calendar to December to see the bookings. Appointment times run on Thursday evening from 4:30-7:00 pm and Friday morning, December 3 from 9:00-11:30 am. Select the teacher from the drop down menu and your preferred time to book. You may book an appointment for more than one teacher but times are limited to 10 minutes and are to discuss academic concerns only. If you have other items you wish to discuss with teachers, please contact the school to arrange an appointment outside of these P/T hours.

Please note: Due to Parent/Teacher meetings, there is no school for students on Friday, December 3.

2. School Pictures - Pictures will be distributed to students on Monday, November 29 as well so check those book bags!

3. Book Fair - We will host a school Scholastic Book Fair December 6-10 here at the school. Each Homeroom class will have a time to browse and select books for purchase. Due to Covid restrictions, this book fair will not be open to families. More details on this to come next week.

Finally, I would like to send a huge thank you out to all Raider families for your kindness, patience and understanding last week. We know it is incredibly stressful when a Covid case in identified at a school. Your support is much appreciated and felt by both Raider staff and students.
