Good afternoon! Today is Tuesday, November 16 and this is Ms. McGrath with a few messages for all Raiders and their families.

We are very, very excited and happy to have all Raiders back in the building this week! To top that off, we also have been able to restart our After School Activity Period (ASAP).
1. ASAP - RVMS staff have really stepped up to offer more activities than ever, so that we can limit student contact as much as possible. A huge thank you to all of my staff who volunteer for this hallmark activity at RVMS by giving up half of their lunchtime each day. Please check out our website to view the 4 ASAP schedules (by grade). You will find them posted under the “About Us” tab in the navigation bar.
As I mentioned in my last message, this does mean that some students may have the privilege to leave the school rather than participate in ASAP (we find this comes in useful to families who have evening activities planned) but all Raiders are expected to stay to the end of the school day, 3:10, if required.
2. Badminton – Students signed up for tryouts prior to the break. All students born in 2009 or earlier, must be vaccinated to participate (Gr. 7 & 8) and should remember to bring necessary gear to school with them (one of the expectations of varsity athletes is being prepared and keeping track of tryouts and games).
Tryouts run from ASAP to 3:30 so drives are required. The season starts now and goes to the second week of December. Team lists will be posted next week.

3. PIZZA – Vinnie’s Pizza is available again this week. Cost is $1/slice of pizza and cookies are 2/$1. Students may purchase a maximum of three slices and two cookies each. This is available only to students who are scheduled in the cafeteria that day.
Weds is Day A Lunch (Blacquier, Bennett, Graham, DeGooyer, Lavoie, Morrissey, Carroll)
Thurs is Day B Lunch (McCormick, Pattison, Mason, Fife, Robar, Leger, Ramos)
4. PD Day – This Friday, November 19 is a schedule Professional Learning Day – No School for Students.
5. Report Cards & Parent/Teacher – Mark your calendars as Report Cards are going home on Monday, November 29. Parent/Teacher meetings will be online once again this year. Instructions will be sent your way soon with the meetings happening on Thursday evening, Dec 3 and Friday morning, Dec 4
