Sept 28 - Messages for Families

Good afternoon Raiders & Raider Families. Here are your messages for September 28, 2021.

Don’t forget to check out the school website at rvms.nbed.nb.ca or on Twitter @RVMiddle

1. School Pictures - Picture orders are due back at the school by Friday, October 1. If you require a retake, you must send back the original proof with the “retake” section checked. Only those students who return this proof, or those who were absent on Picture Day, will be eligible for retakes.

2. Book Fair - RVMS will be participating in the Scholastic Reading Club program. Flyers will be going home with some homeroom classes. Flyers are also available online at www.scholastic.ca/readingclub. Every time you place an order and enter our Class Code, our school benefits. At this time, you can only place an order online and your order will ship directly to your home. Here’s to a great year of reading!

The Class Code: RC181291. Place your order at scholastic.ca/readingclub

Ms. Natalie McCluskey

RVMS Resource Teacher

3. Immunization Clinics -Gr. 7 & 8 students are reminded to make sure a completed permission form is handed in by Wednesday for the regular Middle School immunization clinics (HPV & DTap). We are receiving word that our clinic may be delayed, but we are still collecting permission slips to hand over to Public Health so that we will be prepared when the clinic is rescheduled.

4. Covid Protocols - A reminder that we continue to work on collecting Covid vaccine info for students born in 2009 or before. Please do not e-mail any of this info to teachers. Students can bring a copy, or take a picture with their phone and Ms. McGrath & Ms. Gatien will visit classes to collect this information privately from all students.

Covid protocols under the “Safer Schools” mandate from the Province of NB continue this week. Please remember to have two masks at school each day and to sanitize your hands regularly.

5. Lunch utensils - Students are reminded to bring a fork or spoon, if needed, for lunch as we are unable to provide these. Some students keep a package of disposable utensils in their locker to use as needed.

6. Our new P.E. teacher, Ms. MacKenney, has a letter to share with all Raiders and their families. We are so happy to have her with us this year. I have attached this letter at her request. Welcome Letter .docWelcome Letter .doc

As always, if you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 738-6500. Ms. McGrath can be reached at Trudy.McGrath@nbed.nb.ca.
