Hello Raider Families! This is Ms. McGrath with a few messages on Friday, October 23^rd.

Upcoming Important Dates:

Nov 20                  ½ day PL/ ½ day Report Card Prep  (No School)

1.       Friday October 30^th is now a PD Day. No school for students on that day.

2.       On Thursday, October 29^th, we encourage all Raiders to wear black and orange for the day. Classes will each have a celebration with their Homeroom “bubble” in the afternoon. Snacks can be sent but they must be nut free, nutritious and individually packaged. Homemade snacks cannot be served.

3.       School pictures were taken on Wednesday so your child should have brought home the proofs. Orders for pictures or retakes are due back no later than Thursday, October 29^th.

                -only students who return the proof, or were absent, will have retakes

                -retakes are scheduled for Monday, November 9^th

                -all orders and retake requests, must include the proof sheet in the envelope

4.       We are happy to provide microwaves for student use on the days that they have access to the cafeteria however, we cannot provide utensils for students. Please make sure to send forks or spoons with your child if they will need one to eat their lunch.

5.       All students should now know their student e-mail, username and password and should be able to remember those items and use them to logon from school or home.

6.       If students are absent, they can check the TEAMS page to see if there are any items posted for their classes. Teachers of k-8 do not have to teach virtually at this time, but we are trying to post handouts, project outlines etc. for students to access if they are absent from school.

In the event that we do have to return to online learning, TEAMS will be the platform we use. It is a good idea to check this out with your child to ensure they do know their username and password and can connect from home.

7.       If you need to contact a teacher, all staff e-mails can be found on our school website under the “About Us” tab.

8.       Our Parent School Support Committee met virtually for the first time this week. Our committee information and meeting minutes can be found on the school website.

9.       On another note, the District has just let us know that Chartwells is suspending service in several schools and will not be opening the cafeteria at RVMS until at least January.
