Physical Education Greetings from your PE department. Finding time to be active every day should be more manageable for most of us. In fact, this is a good time for you to set some personal goals and to make your own physical fitness a priority. This will look different for each of you, depending on your goals and interests. We will try to give you some ideas each week to try, but find what works for you, and most importantly, make sure you are moving every day! Whenever possible, encourage your family members to be active with you, and have fun.

Here is the May/June calendar of events. Try to get out a few times this week and increase either how long you walk/jog for or how far you travel within a set amount of time.

Home Challenge:  Multiplication War

1. Remove the Jacks, Kings and Queens from a regular deck of cards. Leave the Aces, they are worth 1. 2. Shuffle. 3. Players place cards face down in a pile. 4. At the count of three, both players flip over their first card. 5. The first person to say the product of the 2 cards receives both cards and puts them in a separate pile. 6. If both players say the answer at the same time, the cards are put in the middle of the table. 7. The next player to win the "flip" gets the cards in the middle of the table in addition to the cards just played. 8. The winner is the person with the most cards at the end of play.

Variation:

At the count of three, both players flip over two cards each. Each player multiplies their two cards together. Whoever has the highest product keeps all four cards
