​Protocol for a positive case of Covid-19

Recently the province has added Covid-19 to the list of communicable diseases included in the provincial ‘School Exclusion Guidelines.’  That document is attached here: NB School Exclusion Guidelines 

It provides very useful information on responses to diagnosed cases of a variety of diseases.  For Covid-19 in particular, students should remain out of school “until symptoms have improved and (the) child has not had fever for 24 hours.”

Yearbook

The deadline for ordering the 2022 Yearbook is fast approaching! March 25^th is the last day to order Yearbooks, which will arrive in June for students to take home. The cost is $60 and you can pay online at https://www.jostens.com/apps/store/customer/1393261/Harbour-View-High-School/ or in school by cash or cheque (see Mrs. Mawhinney in 309, or Mrs. Waldron in 128).

Course Selections for 2022-2023

It is already that time of year when we begin helping students to select courses for the next school year.  Over the coming two weeks, students in Grades 9 – 11 will have presentations from Guidance and/or Administration to discuss course options, Graduation Requirements, etc.  Homeroom teachers will also support students through this process.  We will spend several weeks on this process so that students have the chance to discuss options with teachers and parents/guardians and will also have the current term report card marks before making their choices. 

Links to course selection booklets, registration forms etc.. will be sent home by email in the coming weeks – and will also be posted on the school website.

Parent-Teacher

Parent-Teacher meetings will take place on Wednesday, April 13 (4:00 – 7:00pm) and Thursday, April 14 (9:00 – 11:00am).  Parents/Guardians will have the choice of in-person or Teams appointments, but they will continue to be booked ahead of time using the online booking system.  That link will be sent out in the coming weeks.​
