Admissions Process for Credit Status Courses
Attention all Potential Graduates:

Are you planning to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Nursing degree after high school?  If so, it is important for you to know how perspective universities are handling any courses that  you may have been enrolled in last semester  that are mandatory entrance requirements.

UNB will be calculating admission averages in the following way:

If a student in Grade 11 took a Grade 12 course and received a CR, the grade for that will be determined by taking the 5 other courses used for their admission average and dividing it. This grade will then be used to determine the average based on 6 courses. If a student is worried about this grade and is applying to a competitive program such a Nursing or Engineering they are encouraged to take the course again and receive a numerical final grade.

We are awaiting clarification from other universities as to how they will handle CR status courses that are mandatory for admission.  We will pass that information along to students once it is received. Students are encouraged to reach out to guidance if they have any questions .
