School districts are still working along with the Department to ensure there is consistency in how online learning opportunities are provided to students.  I should be in a position to provide much more clarity later this week - but for now we are ready to begin providing materials in the 'Core Courses' Minister Cardy identified in his letter last week.  Beginning today, students in the following courses can access course materials through Microsoft Teams:

English:  English 9, English 10, English 11, English 12 (All levels for each grade) 

Science:  Science 10, Biology 11, Biology 12, Chemistry 11, Chemistry 12, Physics 12, Human Physiology, Physical Geography, Environmental Science 

History: Modern History 112, FI Modern History 112, Modern History 113, Social Studies 10 

French:  FILA 10, FILA 11, FILA 12, PIF 11/12 

Technology: Photography, Robotics,  Computer Science 11/12, Personal Development and Career Planning 9, Metals Fabrication

Math:  All math courses 

AP:  All Advanced Placement courses 

Distance Ed:  All courses are continuing for previously enrolled students. 

At the bottom of this email are links to documents on how to help students with computer accounts if they do not have that information, as well as a document on how to navigate Microsoft Teams.

In terms of graduation, any student who had 12 credits in January with a plan to graduate in June will, in fact, graduate.  In terms of questions for students of other grade levels, I promise to clarify as much as I can later this week.  Thank you for your patience so far – you have made this time much easier for me than it could have been!

The focus at this point is on courses which are pre-requisites for future learning – either at high school or post-secondary.  If you can encourage your student(s) to login to Teams on Wednesday to begin to access their course materials that will help them reconnect with their course materials.
