Wellness Week

A big ‘Thank You’ to our staff and students who organized our first Wellness Week for this year.  Healthy snacks at break, wellness sessions to start Wednesday, and today’s free harvest lunch – makes for such a positive week!

 


News from the Grad Class Executive

 

Grad Photos:  Photography Flewelling will be setting up their studio here at HVHS on November 4th, 5th, and 6th.  6 poses $25, 9 poses $30, payable in cash or cheque. 

 

Grad Class Activity:

Pumpkin carving, popcorn, and games, 3:45 – 5:15 on Wednesday, October 30th.  (Free)

 

Grad Clothing Line 2020

Grad clothing will be available for ordering the first week of November, and a table will be set up at parent teacher interview for orders.  Makes a great Christmas present or stocking stuffer!  Hoodies, crew sweaters, long sleeve and short sleeved T-shirts available. 

 



Parent Teacher

We are getting ready to end our first term on November 1.  Grade 9s with one term courses (Music, Art, Phys. Ed) will begin new specialty courses on November 4th.  (This does not apply to students in Instrumental Music).  Report Cards will be sent home on Wednesday, November 6th

 

Parent-Teacher meetings take place on Thursday, November 7th – 4:30 – 7:30 and Friday, November 8th – 9:00 – 11:00.  These are first-come, first-served.

 

There is no school for students on November 8 (Parent-Teacher) or November 22 (Professional Learning Day).

 



Take Your Kids to Work Day

Just a reminder that grade nine students will be participating in Take Your Kids to Work Day on November 6th.  If they have not returned their forms these should be given to Homeroom teachers.

 



Post-Secondary Days

All Grade 11 and 12 students will attend Post-Secondary Days Open House at the HMCS Brunswicker on October 30.  They will be transported to and from the event.  There is an opportunity for families to attend as well the evening of Tuesday, October 29, 5- 7pm at the Brunswicker.
