​Emergency Evacuation Drill

With the forecast of heavy rain, our Evacuation Drill is now scheduled for Monday, October 21.  Students and staff will walk from HVHS to the LBR for this drill.  We will be leaving the school at 11:45 that morning (weather permitting). 

For students with mobility issues, a bus will be provided.

Photo Retakes

Retakes for students who require them will take place on Friday, October 18.  Proofs and order forms for the initial photographs arrived at the school today and should be coming home in the next couple of days.

Fall Formal Dance

Thursday, OCTOBER 24th at LILY LAKE PAVILLION, 7:00 – 10:00. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time – and are limited due to the capacity of the venue. 

$10 for HVHS students (Student Fee must be paid), $12 for sign-ins.  Sign-ins will only be accepted until this Friday.

Take Our Kids to Work Day

The ANNUAL - Take Our Kids to Work Day event for Grade 9 students takes place on Wednesday, November 6th. ALL Grade 9 students are encouraged to participate. Students should be reaching out to family to see what opportunities are available to them. They can attend with a parent, extended family member, friend of their family, or with a friend's parent. Students should be encouraged to RETURN THEIR PERMISSION SLIPS as soon as possible to their homeroom teachers.  For Grade 9 students unable to secure a placement, they are expected to attend school that day and will complete a career-focuses research project in the Library.​
