In June...Share Celebrate What's RIGHT With the World

Public Service Announcement:
We encourage others to Celebrate What’s Right with the World by looking for the good in people and searching for the positive in situations.

Suggested Whole School Events/Activities:
  • Participate in Random Acts of Kindness.  (Document found in Additional Resources or online at www.randomactsofkindness.org).
  • Give out positive tickets to people caught doing something right.
  • Invite parents and community to view Celebrate What’s right With the World DVD for instance at the end of the year wrap up.  Share with them how they can support their child/youth in celebrating what is right with the world.
Suggested Classroom activities:
  • Make a Celebration Banner and have students draw what they have to celebrate on it.
  • Participate in Random Acts of Kindness.  (Document found in Additional Resources or online at www.randomactsofkindness.org).
  • Math warm-up: value your words with positive words adding to and negative words subtracting from total value.
  • Have students write a short story to share with others about what they have valued the most over this past year.
  • Open and share the celebrate time capsule which the class put together in September.
