Pink Shirt Day at Minto Elementary Middle School

The last Wednesday of February is Pink Shirt Day and Minto Elementary Middle School observed it along with schools across Canada.  The day aims at promoting kindness, celebrating diversity and encouraging inclusion.  This global phenomenon was inspired by two young men in Nova Scotia in 2007 (www.pinkshirtday.org.nz/).

Every class participated by wearing pink shirts and there were even two classrooms with 100% pink; congratulations to Mrs. McFadden's grade 2 class and Mme. Andrew's grade 1 class.
Thank you to all students, staff, and families who support this movement on Pink Shirt Day and every day by performing acts of kindness for others and acts of service to their school and community.
