COVID-19 Protocols

Students will be expected to wear a mask when on the bus, in the hallways and common areas. Masks will not be required for students when in their classroom, eating, or outside on the playground.

Due to current COVID-19 protocols, we are unable to allow visitors into building without an appointment. However, parents are welcome to come to the office to drop off items for their child, or pick them up for an appointment for example. Parents will need to use the bell at the front of the building to be buzzed in the school. Please enter wearing a mask, sanitize at the station located on the left inside the main door, and speak with staff via the window at the office. Parents looking to pick up students at the end of the school day will continue to wait for their child in the parking lot. We thank you for your continued support and understanding in this matter.

Grade 7 Students’ Vaccines October 13th

This is a message for all parents or guardians of grade 7 students. Public Health nurses will be coming to our school on October 13th, 2020 to offer the grade 7 students’ vaccines. We encourage you to make sure your child has had breakfast and snacks available for after the immunizations. Please ask that your child wear a short-sleeved shirt.  All students are eligible to receive a vaccine against Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (whooping cough), and a vaccine against Human Papillomavirus (HPV).  Your child should have received two information pamphlets at the beginning of the school year.

If the consent form has not been returned to your child’s teacher, please do so before the school clinic date.  These consents should be returned whether the student is being immunized or not.

If you have any questions, please contact the Public Health Immunization line @ 506-4538252 or e-mail your question to UVImmunization@gnb.ca
