​Today is the last day that the cafeteria will be open. No meals will be served next week, everyone will eat in their classrooms and everyone will need to pack a lunch! All trays and baskets need to be returned to the cafeteria before 12:30 today. Next week, the grade 8s will have a bonus week on the bball court and in the gagaball pit.

Speaking of cafeteria, Tracey, Steph, Nicole and Sam have this message for you: We would like to wish all the staff and students a happy and safe summer holiday. Thanks for a great year. Good Luck to all grade 8s moving to high school, it’s been fun watching you all grow! To the grade 6 and 7 students, see you in September.

Can Tabs – WOW! Thank you to everyone who brought in can tabs this year. We have donated 38,929 grams, that’s just shy of 200 pounds!!! All being donated for the making of a wheelchair for a NB man. Thank you! We’ll be collecting again next school year so keep your container on the counter and collect all summer! Special Shout Out to Mrs Millers class who tripled all other class donations.

Wellness:

Mr Stu is pleased to report that the Wellness Centre is open today for lunch.

Music:

Attention all Senior Band, Beginner Band and Singing Club members: Come to the Music room at lunch for a treat and a chance to say goodbye to your music friends before summer vacation. You can bring your lunch down or you can come in the second half. 

Speaking of goodbyes, it is time for Senior Band members to say goodbye to their band shirts. Please bring them to the music room ASAP. 

Art:

Last call for any students wanting to enter artwork in the talent show!  Please see Mrs. Stoddart during 2^nd half of lunch today to get your work photographed.

Sports:

There will be a pizza party today at lunch to celebrate the 4 volleyball teams, track and field team and softball team.

Dance tickets are on sale! The year end Moving On Dance is open to all grade levels and will be Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Tickets are on cashless and $5 (entrance only), $7 (entrance and 1 slice of cheese pizza) or $9 (entrance and 2 slices of cheese pizza). Deadline to order is midnight Tuesday.

PRIDE Passes: Ballots drawn from grade 6 and 7 today. The first was commended for volunteering to clean up a big mess with a friend and the second is an independent worker, a reliable student and is motivated to learn. Monthly draw.

Yearbooks –Fewer than 15 copies are available for cash sales. Please see Mme Spinks with $35 to reserve your copy. A special signing party and viewing of the slide show is planned for grade 8 classes on Tuesday morning. Grade 6 and 7 classes will receive their books on Wednesday morning.
