also finding an increase in unkind words and name-calling. Hands, feet and
words to self! Always be kind!
Heritage Fair - Huge Cougar Pride Shout Out to all Heritage

| A reminder
to students to stay away from the parked school bus and the cars in the parking
lot. Please do not play around or near any vehicles that are parked out front.
Another reminder
not to interfere with any games being played outside at lunch. If a student
brings their own ball to school to use at lunch, unless you are invited to join
the group, do not interfere with the ball.
Athletics:
Congratulations to the Varsity
Girls Volleyball team who played in the Blue Wave tournament this weekend.
The girls left everything on the court and are brought home the Silver

game but unfortunately came up short against a very deserving opponent. The girls
displayed great sportsmanship, supporting each other on and off the court. The Varsity
Girls will practice from 4:30-6pm.

Today is National Librarian’s Day, Cougar Pride Shout
Out to Mrs. Specht in the library for all the wonderful things that you do and
for being so friendly and helpful to all the classes that use the library.
Tomorrow’s trivia will be all about books! |
| A safety
concern was brought to our attention yesterday at lunch. Students were
addressed because they are hiding around and under the bus that is parked at
the end of our parking lot. NEVER hide under any parked vehicle! This is such a
potentially dangerous situation. Please do not play around the parked cars or
near the bus that is parked.
Another
issue that is more a respect and fair play item. If a student brings their own
ball to school to use at lunch, unless you are invited to join the group, do
not interfere with the ball. You aren’t allowed to run onto the court or field
to steal a ball during an organized game, so please do not steal the ball when students
are outside playing at lunch.

at cleaning up your tables and leaving the cafeteria tidy. Thank you! Keep up
the good work!
Other: There will be a meeting today in Mr. Melanson’s class (Room
108) during the 2nd part of lunch for all students in Grades 7 and 8 who would
like to participate in the upcoming “New Brunswick Math Competition”. |

participated in the Hello/Bonjour project contest from the Office of the
Commissioner of Official Languages of N.-B. A special congratulations to Greer L-S for participating and winning a personal computer/laptop! Wow! Once again,
bravo to everyone who represented our school and celebrated our linguistic
diversity.
A note to students who play basketball
on the court or another sport outside at lunch. If you are using a ball, please
return it to the ball bag. Many balls have not been returned over the past few
weeks. We do not have an endless supply of basketballs or soccer balls or any
other equipment to refill the bag. If your grade level is on the basketball
court, or once the field dries out and reopens, you can bring a ball from home
if you want to guarantee you have one.

The Varsity Girls Volleyball

teachers are asked to give them to the period 5 teacher who will distribute to
students at the end of class. |
| Starting off with a concern about
something that is causing extra work for Ms. Mattina, our custodian. She is
noticing that someone, or perhaps multiple people, are ripping up small bits of
paper, looks like they are from a Math net of a cube or another 3D shape,
placing it in a locker and when the person opens the locker, all the paper
falls to the floor. Please stop making a mess, it is inconsiderate and
disrespectful to Ms. Mattina.
