A reminder to students who are playing on the field. If your ball goes outside the fence, you must use the gate and walk around to retrieve it, you should not jump the fence. This is for safety reasons. In the past, we have had students rip open their hands and legs on the zip ties, the yellow cover or the fence itself. It leaves a nasty gash requiring stitches and we don’t want that for you! Walk around to get your ball if it goes outside the fence.

And a reminder for inside the building, staff are noticing that there are many students gathering in the washrooms. Washrooms are not a hang out spot, go in, do your business, wash your hands and get out. If it is busy, line up outside the door in the hall, no need to crowd the urinals, the stalls and the sinks.

Probably a wise thought for everyday.

As part of Pride week, we are asking staff to please help promote self-acceptance to the whole school by adding a photo to the Be Yourself bulletin board. Bring a photo of yourself that makes you proud to be who you are, everything else you need is on a cart in the staffroom.
