A special Cougar PRIDE 'Shout Out' to Kai F, who last evening, in a special ceremony at the QPLex, was one of the HEC recipients of this year's ASD-S Inspire Awards. Way to go, Kai!

Wellness:

During our Let’s Freeze Out the Hurt at QMS campaign we have been considering a daily thought every day to help us better understand more about kindness and respect. Today’s thought is this: In a racist society it is not enough to be non-racist. We must be anti-racist.

Music:

A reminder to Singing Club that you will have a practice during the second half of lunch today. 

And a reminder to Senior Band members to look ahead in your calendars. Please remember your instruments on Monday because you have an extra practice after school. 

Art:

The Art Room will be open during the second half today.

Sports:

JV and Varsity Volleyball Teams – As soon as it is washed, please return your clean jersey to the office. Varsity Girls, please give your jersey to Mr. Long.

Good luck to the Girls' Softball as they play against Samuel-de-Champlain at 4 o'clock tomorrow at Centennial Field (QPlex). 

Track and field tryout continue Tuesday May 27 from 3-4:30pm. The tryout will be for all running events and will take place on the field. 

Other:

Library – Today is the last day to check books out from the library. All books must be returned by June 6^th.

PRIDE Passes: A grade 6 student assisted the teacher with putting materials away and a grade 8 student was focused and made good choices.

QMS Bottle Drive –Tomorrow, Saturday May 24^th from 9 am to noon at the corner of Hampton Road and the Arterial, where the Smokin’ Pig and Driving Range used to be!

Grade 8 students are reminded to send Mme Spinks ONE toddler / pre-school age photo of each of you to be used in the year end, Grade 8 Slide Show. If you do not receive an email reply, the photo was not received. About 150 photos received so far, about 25 left to come in! Let’s go grade 8! 😊​
