A reminder
to students who are bringing their bicycles or other forms of active transportation
to school. Please walk your bike on school property in the morning and after
school. There is a lot of traffic during drop-off and pick up times and we need
to keep everyone safe.
Wellness:
As we
continue our “Let’s Freeze Out the Hurt at QMS” campaign, we are also observing
PRIDE week all across the district. At QMS we are all striving to become better
allies. Being an ally means standing up for others. It's about creating a
school where everyone feels safe, included, and valued. At QMS we believe that
a small kindness can make a big difference. Your Let’s Freeze Out the Hurt at
QMS campaign thought for today: Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice
everywhere.
As part of
Pride week, we are asking staff to please help promote self-acceptance to the
whole school by adding a photo to the Be Yourself bulletin board. Bring a photo
of yourself that makes you proud to be who you are, everything else you need is
on a cart in the staffroom. We can't wait to see all the fun photos of our
amazing staff being their wonderful selves! Once 10 submissions are received,
the photos will be posted.
