Music:
This is a reminder of Singing Club after school today.
As per usual, it ends at 4pm.
This announcement is for Senior Band members: If
you have a form for Ms. Rattray, please bring it to the Music room. Also
for Senior Band, you have band prep tomorrow in the second half of
lunch.
Wellness:
All UBU students are strongly encouraged to attend the
meetings this week as the group will be talking about PRIDE week next week and
need your help with the special banner we are creating. All are welcome.
Now that it is May it is time to begin our Let’s Freeze
Out the Hurt at QMS campaign. Please take time to read and consider the
posters that are all over the school.
We will be sharing a daily thought to help us better
understand more about kindness and respect. Today’s thought is this: The time
is always right to do what is right.
Please take some time to reflect on this today.
The Let's Freeze Out the Hurt STAFF buttons are here! This
year you have a choice of a pin or a magnet or a keychain to hold the button
where you want it! Please stop by the office to grab one and wear it throughout
the campaign to show your commitment to Freezing Out the Hurt at QMS.
Sports:
The Girls'
Softball team will practice tomorrow from 3-4.
On Thursday
of last week, the JV Girls volleyball team defeated BMS. Despite the
victory, the girls finished just out of a playoff spot, and therefore, are done
for the season. All players should be pleased with how much they improved and
for the dedication they showed to the team. Stay tuned for an announcement
about returning jerseys to Ms. Hannam.
In
volleyball action today, the Varsity Girls practice after school today 3
– 4:30. A time change.
Tomorrow,
the JV Boys will practice 3 – 4:30 while both Varsity teams play
away from QMS. The Varsity Girls play at HMMS and the Varsity Boys
play at SMS. Good luck teams!
