This message is to announce that Summerhill Street Elementary School will require a Parent School Support Committee (PSSC) election and that it will take place on Monday, September 10 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM. This possibility was first announced at the Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, August 30.
A PSSC is required to have 6 to 12 members that is made up of parents of students who attend the school and one teacher representative. Elected members can hold office for up to three years. Returning members to the Summerhill PSSC include:

As many as six more seats may be filled by parents of Summerhill students. As of Friday, September 7 at 1:00PM, seven nominations have come forward. As announced on Thursday, August 30, nominations are accepted up to Monday, September 10 at 3:00PM. The nomination form and other relevant information about the PSSC can be found on the Anglophone West School District website (www.asd-w.nbed.nb.ca), going to the “DEC” section and then clicking on “PSSC”. Once the committee is formed, a schedule of meetings for the year will be established. All PSSC meetings are open to the public and minutes are shared on our school website.
