Book Talk- students have begun their presentations for their Book Talk.  Those who have not yet presented can do so anytime before November 10th. 

Writing- thank you for sending in empty cereal boxes.  We are using them for a Halloween writing activity.  In class we are working on using descriptive words to help "paint a picture in the reader's mind".

Math- We spent most of last week rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000.  Please continue to practice at home.  This week we are estimating​ the sum of two numbers.  Strategies students can use include making a friendly number/rounding to the nearest 10, 100 or 1000.  An estimate is not the exact answer!

Halloween Howl- Friday, October 28th.

Scholastic Book Fair- We will be going to the book fair during our Library period on Tuesday.  Students who would like to purchase a book can bring in their money anytime this week.

Monday, OCtober 31st- Orange and Black Day (wear orange and black).  If you would like to send in a small treat for the class you are more than welcome (Peanut and Nut Free).  We will not be having a Halloween party but will be doing lot's of Halloween themed activities in class.
