NHS Nighthawk of the Month Nominations May, 2017

Alyssa Hanson-Jones

This award is presented in recognition of your being a team player. You are a student who can work with any student in the room. You understand that each student brings different strengths to the table and you figure out a way to make the group showcase each student’s talents. You work hard to get the most out of your learning opportunities while always being kind, and making everybody feel welcome and at ease. You are a role model to all students. Congratulations on being selected Nighthawk of the Month for May, 2017.

Bradley Goodine

This award is presented in recognition of your positive attitude at Nackawic High School. Everyone at NHS truly enjoys seeing you and interacting with you each day. You are never in a bad mood. You are always cheerful, respectful and helpful. With your huge smile and love of life, you have a positive impact on the climate of the building. You are a role model to all students. Congratulations on being selected Nighthawk of the Month for May, 2017.

Laura Bell

This award is presented in recognition of your overcoming obstacles at Nackawic High School. You were not comfortable with the idea of performing for an audience when you started Theatre Arts 120 in February; however, you confronted your fear, and not only delivered your performance three times, but did so exceptionally well.  You were loud, faced the audience and stayed in character. This took a great deal of personal courage, and a strong desire to support your fellow cast mates. You are a role model to all students. Congratulations on being selected Nighthawk of the Month for May, 2017.

Nash Brewer

This award is presented in recognition of your leadership at Nackawic High School. You have been a valuable member of three sports this spring, but you stepped up in particular to lead a novice rugby team that did not have a lot of “team” experience.  You have earned their respect and they look to you for guidance. You have also volunteered your time to take part in any fundraisers held by the rugby team, even when it wasn’t necessarily your turn. Your academics are excellent and you are willing to help out anytime at NHS. You are a role model to all students. Congratulations on being selected Nighthawk of the Month for May, 2017.

Riley McConaghy

This award is presented in recognition of your leadership at Nackawic High School. You are a natural leader in any setting. In class, your enthusiasm and energy has a positive effect on everyone. You can truly rally a group behind a cause. Your sense of humour, kindness and desire to make sure everyone feels part of the group is a great asset in any class or team. You are a role model to all students. Congratulations on being selected Nighthawk of the Month for May, 2017.
