OMISTA Credit Union 2023 Scholarship

Bursaries, valued at $500 each, will be awarded by OMISTA Credit Union.  Bursary Recipients will be announced during the week of June 19th, 2023*.

 

Eligibility:

·         Student must be in full-time attendance at an accredited university, community college, or certified program in Canada as of October 31st, 2023.

·         Student must be an OMISTA Credit Union customer, child, or grandchild of an OMISTA customer.

·         Student must display a financial need.

·         Student may be entering any year of study.

·         No age restriction.

Bursary recipients must become a customer of OMISTA Credit Union by August 18th, 2023

STU Virtual Open House

You are invited to fall in love with STU – from the comfort of your own home – at our virtual open house taking place on Saturday, February 18th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

At this event, you will not only learn why students join us from around the world for an educational experience unique in Canada, but you will also hear why many of our graduates decide to return to St. Thomas University as faculty and staff.

Throughout the virtual event’s interactive panels and presentations, you will also get to learn about:

  • how our professors facilitate the exchange of knowledge within our classrooms;
  • how skills developed in the classroom are put to work through hands-on learning opportunities; and
  • how our residence community supports students’ scholastic, professional, interpersonal, and personal growth.

Attendees will also be able to learn about next steps in our application and registration processes, including our scholarship and bursary application.

We look forward to connecting you with the STU community on Saturday, February 18th!

Experience a Trade at NBCC

There’s never been a better time to take a trade. Trades are booming right now in New Brunswick, and it’s projected in the next three years, there will be over 3,100 new trade jobs.*

 

At NBCC, we know skilled trades. Our industry-experienced instructors are connected to local industry and for decades we have been preparing students for success.

 

We are inviting prospective students to join us on one of our campuses to Experience a Trade at NBCC. There is no better way to get a real, hands-on understanding of what studying a Skilled Trade will be like than seeing it in person. Experience a Trade will be happening on the following dates:

 

Tuesday, February 14th

Wednesday, March 8th

Thursday, April 20th

Students who attend one of our Experience a Trade events will have the opportunity to apply for free to the Skilled Trades program of their choosing.

This IN-PERSON even helps future students get to know NSCAD, and helps them to get to know future students!  Participants in Portfolio Day can expect to...

  • Familiarize themselves with all the aspects of an art school application.
  • Learn all about what a portfolio is, how to make it the best it can be, and even schedule a one-on-one portfolio review with NSCAD faculty.
  • Meet current students and alumni, learn about their unique programs, and explore their campuses and facilities.
  • Discover how studying at NSCAD will help strengthen skills and lead to creative careers.
RSVP here​ to reserve a spot for a Portfolio Review.  Participants will receive a floow up confirmation email as Portfolio Day draws nearer with more information including the official schedule and personal portfolio time.​
