​On December 27^th, Grade 12 student, Forest Jones, will be embarking on an adventure as she heads to Tanzania with her father to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. She has been training for some time for this 11-day trek, and looks forward to reaching the summit and the emotions that that will bring. As part of her Personal Interest class, she is incorporating a fundraiser into her trip, with the goal of raising $10,000 for Feed the Lions. Forest is passionate about this cause, because, in her words, “It blows me away that there is a need; that kids go to school hungry.”  

This morning, January 5, 2020, Forrest and her dad, Brian, reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.​
