​**This morning, we did ask students to enter the building due to a bear-sighting in the area. We intend on keeping the children in the building for the remainder of the morning. Officials from Department of Natural Resources have been contacted and are working with the school to resolve this matter.

• Today, families will be receiving a handout in their child’s bookbag about an exciting fundraising event that our Home and School Committee is launching. In partnership with ‘Eclair Lips’, students and families will be encouraged to sell these throughout the week. • The Annual Trick or Eat Food drive officially kicks off today! This amazing initiative is in partnership with the Greener Village Food bank. Here is an advertisement with information. Trick or Eat Food Challege (2021 - 2022).pdf  Thank you in advance to all families making contributions.
• Halloween at the Creek is just a few days away and preparation continues to make this Friday, October 29^th, a fun and memorable day for all!
• Tomorrow, October 26^th, is the final day to donate Halloween pre-packaged nut-free treats to the school. Children with allergies will be receiving alternate goodie bags and all students will be asked to wait until they get home before opening up their bag.
• As communicated previously, we encourage students to wear Costumes or Orange/Black colors on that day. If students wear Halloween Costumes of any type we ask the following:
• No Halloween masks (that cover any part of the face) – Face painting is ok!
• No scary or inappropriate costumes (horror movie character costumes for example should not be worn – feel free to check with your child’s teacher in advance if you are unsure)
• No fake or toy weapons of any kind (toy guns, swords, knives, chains, etc.)

**Keep in mind that students may be playing outside for recess in their costumes and GC is not responsible for any damage to costumes at these times

• Hot Lunch Round #2 is set to begin on November 16^th (Pizza Delight) and on November 18^th (a yet to be determined food vendor). A follow-up email with more information regarding school cash registration for Round #2 will be coming soon. Families can expect to be able to make payments at some point next week. Stay tuned!​
