Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians​

Good afternoon parents,

What weather!! Yahoo, bring it on!

Outdoor Wear for the Weather –  I will reiterate again, that splash pants are a necessary part of outdoor play on our wet playgrounds. Although the weather is warmer, the grounds are wet. Please send those everyday with your child.

Social Emotional Learning –  We continue to focus on optimism and looking for the positive in life. Don’t worry.. be happy 😊

Hot Lunch – We are beginning a round of Pappa John’s pizza tomorrow. This comes with a container of apple sauce, so please send in a spoon with the other snacks for your child.

Home and School Gift Card Basket Fundraiser  -  We have new dates! Cashless is now open for ticket sales. Tickets are $2 each. There are actually 2 bikes in the raffle as well as a children’s Easter basket along with the gift card basket up for winning!  Sales close at 3 pm next Tuesday the 30^th. The draw will take place on Wednesday the 31^st.  Good luck and thank you for the support!

Interview Times – All families should have received a Bookings invite to set up interviews with teachers. If you did not, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.

Staff Professional Learning – to keep you aware, this past Friday, our EAs took part in a full day of First Aid training. The teachers will be working on a variety of professional learning opportunities around Office 365 , social emotional learning and/or personalized learning  on the afternoon of Wednesday the 31^st as well as the afternoon of Wednesday April 21^st.

Jump Rope for Heart – In the month of April, Garden Creek will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart. Students can  raise money for Heart and Stroke and get active at the same time.  They will view a video on March 29^th and sponsor envelopes will go out on April 1^st. Students can also be registered online to be able to get sponsors from family members who live further away. We do not recommend students going door to door to get sponsors. The event will run during the week of April 6^th in Phys Ed classes.  Any funds collected can be sent in to the office by April 14^th. Thank you for your support.
