Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians

afternoon parents,
Thanks
for your understanding in the missing memo from last week. We are back on track
now though!
Change
for me Next Year- I
wanted to let our families know that I will be taking a step back for
next year from this position as part of a pre-retirement and deferred leave.
I will miss supporting our students and staff in their learning and work
and watching them grow! The District will be working on the hiring of a new
Administrator in the next couple of months and I will support to make for a
smooth transition. Thank you to all Creekers for supporting me over the past
years!
Outdoor
Wear for the Weather
– we ask that students have either snowpants or splash pants with them for
outdoor play time. Our grounds get very wet and remain so for quite some time (
although some parents are working on a solution!) You also may want to
ensure that your child has another set of pants at school just for that reason
so we do not have to call home.
Social
Emotional Learning
– We really enjoyed reading positive post-its from students this week! Next up,
we are focusing on practicing optimism – finding the “silver lining” and
noticing joy and positivity in life.
Hot
Lunch
– We still have 1 more week of bagels then will switch to Papa
John’s. Ordering closes today ( Friday) at 4 pm!
Home
and School Gift Card Basket Fundraiser - We have had a couple of
glitches in the roll out of this fundraiser. We have extended the date to pass
in gift cards for our raffle to Thursday the 18th.. next Thursday!
We will give you new dates in the near future around buying tickets
( $2 each) and when the draw will take place.
