Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians

afternoon Creeker Families,
A
very grateful thank you to our parents who contributed gift cards for
Staff Appreciation Week as well as the Home and School supplying a lunch on Wednesday
for our staff. This kindness an appreciation are appreciated right back! We
could not have gotten through this year without all your support and
understanding and for this, we are truly grateful.
Social
Emotional Learning
– For the next two weeks, we will be working on the theme of “ Try Try again –
the idea that we need to persevere when things are hard – We can do hard
things!
100th
Day Food Drive
– considering we had a couple of snow days, we are moving the food drive to
begin Thursday the 18th and running until Friday the 26th.
As in the past, each class will be asked to bring a particular food item in for
the local food bank. Please see the attachment and thank you for your support

First
Nations Storytelling
– over the next two weeks, our community will be fortunate to partake in some
virtual storytelling that will educate us on the culture of our First
Nations. Spencer Isaac, a young First Nations storyteller and student-intern
will be providing this virtual education to our students.
