Memo to Garden Creek Parents and Guardians
Welcome
to February, Creeker Families!
As
we move into a new month, we appreciate the positives you have sent our
way ! We will continue to work together to support our students in their
learning and growing.
Safety
Reminder :
please remember to slow down when coming down the hill and through the parking
lot. A couple of our parents are working on getting the speed sign moved
further down the hill to support this as well as looking into either
better signage or a crossing guard at the bottom of our hill. Thank you for
your support
Our
Very Wet Fields -
Members of our PSSC and Home and School are looking collectively
into getting our fields equipped with better drainage. We may be reaching out
to our community for ideas around this or support as we move forward. We
need to do this to ensure they are dry to play on and safe as well.
Global Day of
Play this Wednesday
– Last year we had a successful 1st Global Day of Play at the Creek.
Students learned the value of sharing, working through play issues, patience
and creativity during this time. We are looking forward to another similar
morning throughout the school. Teachers should be sending you info around this

Valentine Cards
and Treats –
Valentine’s Day will soon be upon us and with it brings sweet cards and sweets!
Please note that students can share cards within their bubble as well as
prepacked treats. Your homeroom teacher can give you a list of students
by first name only if you request it.
French Immersion
Registration 2021-2022 –
If you plan on registering your child for grade 1 or grade 6 late French
Immersion ( not for those currently in grade 5 Immersion ), the website
is open at www.asd-w.nbed.nb.ca Parents in
grades K and 5 English should have received a message about this last
Tuesday. There will also be a Q &A on Feb 3 and 4th.
Registration will be open the rest of the year but, for planning
purposes, please try to do so by March 8th.
Hot Lunch IF there is a
snow day –
in the event that we have a snow day on any Tuesday of hot lunch, we will move
it ahead to the following Tuesday after the last scheduled date. That would be
March 9, IF NEEDED. Stay tuned.
