Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians
Good
afternoon Creeker Families,
We
are moving into week three of January learning and fun at the Creek. We hope
all is well with you. Please know, considering we are still in orange for the
next while that we continue to follow strict Covid protocols in our
school as per our Garden Creek Operational Plan. Thank you for your ongoing
support! We will update you with any info as necessary if we move to
another level.
Masks
–
we do have a supply of extra masks in our office, but students still need 2 of
their own so they can change out after recess as necessary. Thank you
Hot
Lunch Deadline –
The deadline to order the bagel hot lunch is tomorrow, Tuesday, at noon on
cashless schools.
Home
And School – Thank
you to the Home and School Committee and our community for the funds raised for
our school. We have a meeting tomorrow night on TEAMS to go over the report and
our next adventures.
Outdoor
Learning Committee –
three classes in our school, 4 Burnett, 3/4 Greenwell and 5 McLeod, have been
working on an outdoor learning project in conjunction with Youth Fusion. We are
looking forward to the ideas the classes come up with and what we decide to
build for an outdoor structure. Way to Grow!
The
Power of “YET” –
we continue to work on a positive growth mindset in our school as students
discuss and share what they couldn’t do before but can do now! We have a lot of
learning and growing going on!
