Creeker Family Memo # 15 - November 30th, 2020

Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians

Good afternoon, Creeker Families:

I have to tell you how proud I am of both our students and staff. Friday could have been a difficult day with full-time mask wearing, but everyone was amazing and got the job done! I know we have more time to go with this, but thank you to them and to you for sticking to it!

Tuesday, report cards will be issued . Also,  this week  teachers will be meeting with parents through Teams or a phone call.  – I hope that you have an informative conversation with your child’s teacher. Make sure you ask the questions you might have so that we can support your child in the best ways possible. Thank you for your understanding that this must be done through TEAMS or a phone call.  Attached is an overview that was previously sent out by our District

Two Masks –  A reminder that your child needs 2 clean masks, daily. The weather outside can make these cold and damp.

Silent Auction - This year’s Holiday Silent Auction is coming up fast!!!!  We have decided to extend the auction through the weekend to encourage participation and offer the community more time to shop.   The auction will run from Thursday, December 3rd @ 2pm through Sunday, December 6th @ 8pm. Many items have already been included in the auction catalogue with more still coming in.  Our donors have been incredibly generous!   If anyone still has items that they would like to contribute, please do not hesitate to contact Amy White at amyewhite80@gmail.com or Stella Park at stella.park@horizonnb.ca. For a sneak peek of the auction details and catalogue, please click on the following link:  https://charityauction.bid/gardencreekschool2020    Bidders can also register in advance to be ready to go on Thursday afternoon.  More items will be added in the days to come!

Theme Baskets – your donations to the baskets are appreciated!  If you have items to send in, please do so by Friday.

Creekers Helping Creekers Angel Tree –  A friendly reminder if you would like to help our Creekers in need.. If you can support through a donation on cashless, that would be wonderful. Please see the attachment for more details  on what is needed or go straight to our cashless schools website

Chapter’s Fundraiser is continuing on!   -  If you did not get around to doing some online shopping at Chapter’s, have no fear.. you still can!  https://indigofundraising.flipgive.com/teams/254019-garden-creek-school?fundraiser_id=1423635       I bought a gift card which gave the school 15% of the card’s worth and used it to do my shopping  😊

Garden Creek Christmas Concert has been Cancelled – I am sorry to say that, given the orange status we find ourselves in, that the virtual Christmas concert is cancelled for this year. BUT we will go back to our tradition when Covid is no more!   In the meantime,  I would like to thank both your children, our committee and our staff for the work they put into this.  I expect that your child will still have lots of fun with various Christmas activities over the course of the next month . Thank you for your understanding.
