​​Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians

Good afternoon, Creeker Families

We are certainly “falling” into learning at the Creek with  4 weeks already complete of our new school year!   

A few items for you:

Safety issue :

Exiting the school driveway –  Our crossing guard, Ann Draper, is phenomenal – she is caring, positive and takes her work seriously to ensure your children are safe when crossing the road to the school and home. Please help her out by remembering  to NOT turn right until anyone who is in the crosswalk is across the street or Ann is back at  her post. 

Warm clothing – It can be a bit chilly now on our playground. You may want to consider sending your child with a pair of mitts for those colder days. 

PSSC  - We still have a couple of spots open on our Parent School Support Committee. Meetings take place virtually on the 4^th Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. Our next meeting is October 27^th.  If you would be interested in being part of the committee, please contact the school 453-5409 or email me at katherine.campbell@nbed.nb.ca   Thank you to our parents who have signed on again or are new to the committee.

Home and School Meeting – We will soon be having our first Home and School Meeting and will be trying this virtually on TEAMS. More to come, but we are looking potentially at having this on Tuesday the 20^th of October at 6:30 pm. If you would like to join, please contact me ( as above) so that I can add you to the TEAMS invite. 

Outdoor Learning ! Are  there any parents interested in becoming part of our outdoor learning community? Would you be willing to help develop and groom our forest trail, help make or bring in seating for the forest, help in the outdoor school garden? These are just ideas as we develop our plan and see what interest there is.If you are interested in helping then please reach out to Emily Greenwell ( emily.greenwell@nbed.nb.ca ) or Alex McLeod ( alex.mcleod@nbed.nb.ca)

Tues Dec 1 – Report cards Issued

Thurs Dec 3 –  Parent teacher interviews this evening – virtually at this point

Fri Dec 4 –  No School Parent teacher interviews in the am / Professional Learning in the afternoon for staff

Fri Dec 18 – Last Day of school before the holidays!

December 21 –  January 3 – Christmas Holidays!

January 4 – First Day back to school
