Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians​

Good afternoon, Creeker Families!

We are into our last week of January.. the days are getting longer and learning is continuing on our lily pad!

Staff PL this past Monday – to  inform you, this past Monday, our staff was busy learning!  In the early morning, teachers were working on plans around enrichment and stretch learning. For the rest of the a.m,  all staff learned about how to have those “difficult conversations” with others to continue to move collaboration. In the afternoon, teachers were outside, learning about how to bring the curriculum outside.

Green Paper Consultation – the Department of Education is having another round of consultations with the public on the Green Paper initiatives. Please go to https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/news/news_release.2020.01.0018.html  Our local consultation is Monday February 10

2020 French Immersion Registration - registration for Grade 1 and Grade 6 French Immersion will be coming up  . Information sessions are on  Feb 12 at FHS or Feb 6 at OHS, both at 6:30 pm.  On-line registration is at www.asd-w.nbed.nb.ca beginning on February 3. Great Canadian Bagel Hot Lunch – Bagel hot lunch will start on February 4^th. Please sign up on Cashless by tomorrow, January 22^nd.    Please see attachment  Thank you to Jodie Yerxa for all her work!   Bagel order February March 2020.pdf

Lego Robotics after school! – Please see the attachment if you are interested in your child being part of Lego Robotics after school on Mondays in our library, starting Mon Feb 3 – Apr. 27   Lego Robotics-1-2.docx  Lego Robotics 3-5 registration.docx

Movie Night this Friday! – Great ready for Abominable at the Creek – this Friday! Doors open at 6:15 and movie starts at 6:30. Please bring something for your child to sit on and remember that everyone needs to leave their shoes at the door, so bring something toasty for your feet! There will be snacks to buy!  Donations accepted at the door for the Australian Fires.

Fri Jan 31 – Earth Rangers Presentation 12:50 – 1:50 pm / movie night! Abominable.  Doors open 6:15, movie at 6:30 pm
