afternoon, Creeker Families!
Orange Shirt Day this Monday!! This Monday, students
are encouraged to wear orange for Orange Shirt Day, which began in Williams
Lake BC in 2013. The goals of this event include: supporting reconciliation, creating
awareness of the individual, family, and community inter-generational impacts
of residential schools, and to create awareness of the concept of “Every Child
Matters.” As a school we will be celebrating this day with a short
explanation and by reading a story school-wide called “When we were alone.”
Teachers may prepare other lessons and have other discussions with students as
well. More information can be found on the orange shirt day website

Creeker
Wellness Night this Wednesday! –
Come on out for our Creeker Wellness Night this coming Wednesday from 6 – 7 pm.
There will be 10 different activities that families can participate in such as
Judo, Ultimate Frisbee, Yoga and learning about First Nations Sacred medecines
and also dental health – to name a few! See you then as we are well.

Summit Dodge Touch a Car event next Saturday October 5 9:30 – 12:00 – Come out and support
fundraising for our playground this coming Saturday by test driving a car and
chatting with other Creeker families. See attachment and thank you for your
support!
