Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians

Good afternoon Creeker Families,

Spring has finally REALLY sprung in our city !   I think our cold(er) days are done – bring on the sun and warmth!

Please note the following :

Term 2 Achievement Reports – Please take the time to read over the report with your child and complete and pass in the learning goals sheet and parent comments. We look forward to seeing you for your conference.

Parent Survey Monkey – we are working hard at getting these surveys back in our hands to improve our school. So far, we have about a 22% response rate – Let’s get that higher!   Please complete it if you have not yet done so: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GCSparents2019

Music Festival –  This year, we have a few groups participating in the Fredericton Music Festival at the Playhouse– Here is the line up so you can mark it on your calendar:

                            April 30 – Kindergarten 9:15 AM – Playhouse

                            May 1 – Grade 2 FI – 9:15 AM            Grade 3FI- 9:30 AM

                                              Grade 5 FI – 9:45 AM            Grade 3-5 mixed choir - 10:30 AM

-         Unfortunately, due to Mme. Martin being out, we will no longer be able to have the French Immersion mixed choir perform.

Home and School Items – Please read the attachment for events coming up, such as the book fair and craft fair, through the support of Home and School. Thank you, Home and School volunteers for all you do!

Creeker Book Fair  – A reminder that our book fair is this week.  If we make at least $3000.00  ,60%  of the profits go back to the school in product!

Hours are 12-4 Wednesday, 7:30 AM  – 7:00 pm Thursday and 8-12 on Friday.

Renovated Library – during the book fair and parent-teacher conferences, please take a breather and admire our beautifully renovated library! Thank you to all our Creeker families  and the coordinator of the project, Kim Kennedy, who donated fund  and their time to the renovations ( especially in the heat of the summer!)  A donor plaque is hung on the wall near the seating area.  Thank you!

Parking Lot Traffic  Improvement – I have already noticed a big difference in the mornings around the exit areas of the parking lot remaining clear of cars. Thank you for your support. NOW let’s work on this same issue for AFTER SCHOOL – please do not park in the exit areas at any time for the safety of our students.
