Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians​

Good afternoon Creeker Families,

As we move into week 3 of January, here are a few items to keep you in the know:

Kangaroo Math Competition – attached is info on a Kangaroo Math competition. We are getting more information from a school perspective as well, but since it is on a Sunday, if you are interested in your child participating, please register as noted in the attachment.  Thanks to Mr. Burnett and Mr. Levesque who have been running Caribou Math for some of our students in our school. Our students have been placing at a high level!

Recycling Bins – we have months that are open for parents who are interested in taking care of the recycling bin – no sorting required. They just need to be picked up and brought to the depot and funds brought back  to the school and donated to the designated classroom/event for that month. Please let us know if you are interested in doing this

First Aid Course – Cheyenne Dickinson is organizing a First Aid Course – it has been moved to Sunday Feb 4^th from 8:30 – 4:30. The cost is $85 and will be at our school. There are 8 spots left. If you are interested, please email her at cclawrie@yahoo.ca

Movie Night at the School – The Home and School will be hosting a movie night on Friday February 1^st, featuring The Incredibles II. Doors open at 6:15. More to come

Choir Sash Sewers – thanks for the offers.. We now have 3 parents who will be helping make new sashes for the choir in the near future!  Merci J

Mon Jan 28^th – NO SCHOOL – Professional Learning day  - personalized learning PL for staff

Wed Jan 30^th – District  2 Ball for specific students in the afternoon

Fri. Feb 1 – CREEKER Movie night – IncrediblesII

Sun. Feb 3 – First Aid Course at our school 8:30 – 4:30 pm

Mon Feb 4^th – TNB production Hansel and Gretel 9:00 AM

Tues. Feb 12 – Grade 3-5s skating in the morning ( 9:15 – 10:15 M)

Wed Feb 13^th – District  Chess Tournament for grades 3-5 coordinated through Mrs. Doyle – select students

Fri  Feb 15^th –  Grade 1 French Immersion registration  with the District opens

Mon Feb 18^th – NB Family Day – no school

Tues Feb 19^th – Home and School Meeting 6:30 pm

Week of Feb 25^th – Creeker Winterlude activities – details to come

Tues Feb 26^th – PSSC meeting 6:30 pm
