Good Afternoon, Creeker Families

We had a beautiful weekend and on to a beautiful week of learning!

Specialist Outcomes - we thought we would update you monthly on what is happening in Phys Ed and Music

Phys Ed-  Oct. k-2 - basic fundamental manipulative skills using balls
(overhand throwing)

Oct- 3-5-  fundamental skills using an implement and ball ( in sports such as tennis).

Nov- K-5 - Educational Gymnastics; sequencing; balance.

Music -  For the remainder of October and November, students will be working on:

K-2:  developing proficiency in keeping a steady beat, recognizing the difference between high and low  and loud and soft sounds, and fast versus  slow  music.  Students will develop these skills in a variety of ways including group songs and musical games.

3-5:  Students will be working on reading the notes of the treble clef, learning how to use basic time signatures, learning how to use basic key signatures, and experimenting with new rhythms.  Students will develop these skills by playing simple instruments, written activities, and musical games.

Presentation for Parents - “Parenting in the Digital World”, is being held on October 25th at the Tom Morrison Theater (Fredericton High School) from 7-9. Please see a previous attachment for more details or our website.

Home and School Fundraiser Mabel's Labels - a Garden Creek  Year long Fundraiser  - this past week you would have received an information flyer in regard to the Mable's Labels  fundraiser. This is a labelling system for your child (you can get a variety of labels made for different purposes with their names on the labels).
Here is the info parents need to know:
1) Visit campaigns.mabelslabelscom and select "Garden Creek School" from the drop-down list
2) You will then be directed to a landing page that says "Garden Creek School Welcomes You to Our Page > Click Here to Buy"
3) Click on the pink "click here to buy" button.  You are now on the website and ready to shop through our fundraiser!
4) To ensure your order gets credited to our campaign, make sure you see Garden Creek School listed on the top left of each page. Credit will also appear in your order confirmation email.
5) Tell other parents, friends and family to shop Mabel’s Labels and support Garden Creek School!  Remember, Mable's Labels offers free shipping on all orders!
