School Memo #3
Memo to Garden Creek Parents and Guardians
 Friday, September 15th, 2017

Good afternoon Creeker Families,

It has been a fabulous second week  of learning (not to mention the weather!)

A few items for you:

Student Medical Awareness - Please read the attachment to be aware of one of our students who is medically fragile. We need your help in ensuring his safety by letting the school know  throughout the year if your child ever has any of the illnesses outlined in the letter.

Random Act of Kindness - The province would like us to get the word out that this Satuday is  Becca Shofield Day. A way to remember her is by being kind to someone else and hashtagging it out if you wish. Please see the attachment and ... BE KIND!

Grade 3-5 Art Program - Jennifer Kruger with Estey Creations,  will be visiting our Grade 3-5 classrooms for a few minutes this Monday and has been given permission from the District to send home forms with your students to determine if you want your child to participate. Please be on the lookout for these.

New Music Teacher  until Mid November- Welcome to Mr. Meredith Bryden who will be in for Mrs. MacGregor as she  is out for a few weeks.

Parking Lot and Pick ups - A reminder that if you wish to use the general parking lot ( formerly the staff lot, please access it directly coming off of the street. Please do not access it from the drop off area ; we need to ensure the safety of all in that busy area. As well, during K-2 pick up, students in grades 3-5 are still learning, so we would appreciate your awareness of quiet areas in those zones.

First Home and School Meeting this Tuesday - Please come out on Tuesday night if you would like to be a part of our Home and School or even to just sit in and learn more about it. This is a chance for you to share your creativity, organization skills, or just plain give a hand in events and things around the school where we need it most! See you at 6:30 pm on Tuesday!

Giving Back! Creeker Bottle Drive to Support the Red Cross - next Saturday, the 23rd between 8:30 to 12, , we ask that you drop off any Tetra packs, bottles, cans or plastic bottles or cans that are recyclable. Our staff and student leaders will donate the funds to the Red Cross to help in relief efforts. MERCI!
