Garden Creek School BBQ Picnic
Dear Creeker Families,
Please come and join us for our annual Garden Creek School BBQ Picnic, which will be held on Tuesday, June 20th from 11:40 am – 12:40 pm.
For those new to Garden Creek School, this event serves as a wonderful opportunity for families and staff to gather as a school community to
the many achievements of another terrific school year. With BBQs billowing and Creekers mingling across the GCS grounds, this is always a great
time for students and families. This year, we are inviting everyone to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary as part of Canada 150 celebrations.
Canadian apparel, colours, and flags are welcome at the picnic!
Items being sold at the picnic include: barbequed hotdogs, water, apple juice, orange juice, and Mr. Freezie ice pops. Hotdogs and refreshments
must be ordered in advance with your child’s homeroom teacher. Each item is available for purchase at a cost of $0.50. For each item ordered, you will
receive one ticket. Please ensure you order enough tickets for your family. Tickets will be distributed to students (families) just before the beginning of the
picnic. Please take special note that all items MUST be ordered in advance, as tickets will not be available on the day of the BBQ. Brown bag lunches
are welcome and we kindly invite families to pack their own lunch in lieu of sale items.
Families are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, beach blanket, sunscreen, or any other items that would make your family comfortable during the picnic.
The picnic is a rain or shine event. In the event of rain, families will be invited to meet in their child’s respective classroom for lunch.
We ask that you please arrange an outdoor meeting spot with your child and note that students will be dismissed from their classroom at 11:40 am.
Kindergarten families are invited to meet their child in their classroom before heading outside for the picnic.
We look forward to celebrating Canada 150 and picnicking with many of you on June 20th,

CHILD’S TEACHER IN A SEALED, LABELLED ENVELOPE ON OR BEFORE WEDNESDAY, JUNE 14TH. * FAMILIES WITH MORE THAN ONE CHILD MAY SEND
THEIR ENTIRE FAMILY’S ORDER THROUGH ONE HOMEROOM TEACHER OF YOUR CHOICE. J
