Quarter 4:

Conversation Pieces - Groups are scheduled between April 20th and June 1st - Schedule is posted in the classroom, and a copy of the guidelines is uploaded in 'Documents' if you misplace the copy you have. I have also uploaded the Model Conversation Piece we reviewed in class and a list of sample critical questions ("Deconstructing a Text") if you need some ideas.

Independent Novel Study - We worked on your personal reading goals in class today, and you will hand those in tomorrow for review. We will reflect at the halfway mark and again in June. You will hand in your final reflection and your chart on June 4th. The guidelines are uploaded in 'Documents' if you misplace the copy you have. ​Don't forget to consider the "Above and Beyond" and "Exam Bonus" Options!

Literary Essasy - This is the mandatory English 112 essay that makes up 20% of your year mark. We will begin working on this in class on Monday, April 16th, and the final copy will be due on May 15th. The guidelines and worksheets are uploaded in 'Documents' if you misplace the copy you have.

Poetry - We will begin a study of poetry on May 15th that will take us until the last week of classes.
