​Periods 1 and 3

Students worked on writing body paragraphs for their persuasive essays. If they did not complete their body paragraphs today, they are encouraged to do so on the weekend. The final essays are due next Wednesday, December 20th.

 

Periods 2 and 4

Students worked on peer and self-editing of their completed persuasive essay drafts. Students also learned how to self-grade, what to look for, and how to rationalize their grades. The final copy of the essay will be due on Wednesday, December 20th. On Monday and Tuesday, we will be watching The Giver in class, since we have completed the book and we need to do a comparison.
