More about National Indigenous History Month. Another quote from Grand Chief Ron Perlay:

“We always send out gratitude for things that we see, but there is more life below our feet than above. This life below; the core of earth, the lava, the levels of wonderful aquafers, and insects who work to keep the earth in balance.  We need to be thankful for the things we can't see.”

Today, lets focus on trying to be grateful both for things we see and don’t see.

If anyone has found a pair of eyeglasses, with clear and black (bi-colored rims) please return them to the office.  A student is missing them and last saw them in the gym.  You will know the glasses, as they are the “transition” type and the lenses turn darker when exposed to sunlight.

Calling All QMS Artists:

As part of next week’s Talent Show, we would like to showcase some of the amazing artworks being created by QMS students.

It could be something you’ve created at school, like a Portrait Drawing, a Paper Mask, a Quill Art Butterfly, or a page from your sketchbook.

Or… it could be something you’ve been working on outside of school, like a painting, a drawing, some pottery or a visual journal entry.

If you are interested in having an image of your artwork included in the Talent Show, please sign up in the Art Room by Friday.
