NBCC will be here on Wednesday, October 10^th to meet with interested students.  Please sign up in the Guidance Department for a time slot.  This visit may be of particular interest to Grade 11 students as you should apply to NBCC in the Spring of your Grade 11 year.

Are you interested in attending a week long national Leadership Conference in Ottawa?  Encounters Canada might be for you!  Ask your Advisory Teacher about this program and then see Mrs. Price if you are interested!

Shelly from the Sexual Health Program will be here today from 9:00 a.m. until noon to provide free, confidential services such as Birth Control help with pregnancy concerns STI testing and treatment.  Also at KV Oasis Youth Centre from 3:30 – 5:00 today as well.

Attention all Grade 9’s!  Mark your calendars for October 11^th as you will be having your first event as the Grade Class of 2022. Grade 9 night is right after school.  Stop by to enjoy some fun games and to share a few laughs with each other!

Attention all Crusaders!  This is an important announcement for Miller Bowl this Saturday.  Before the game we will have our first football tailgate!  It starts at 11:30 here in the KV Parking lot.  Come out before the game and get some face paint, make signs, do some cheers and of course feel free to bring your own food for the BBQ we will be having!  This is a school wide event so everyone should come before the big game!

Attention all grads!!! Book off October 17^th as this is the night of Fall Feast.  This will be semi-formal Fall Dinner starting at 6:30 and going to 8:30.  Admission for those with last names starting with A – M is main course and N –Z is dessert.  Hope to see everyone.

MUSIC - DRAMA – THEATRE – ART

Are you a Musician interested in learning how to write your own songs?  Award winning singer, songwriter Brent Mason is offering a songwriting workshop for interested students in the upcoming weeks.  If this might be something you would enjoy, please come to an information meeting today at 12:30 in the Music Room.

Concert Band will be rehearsing after school today in the Theatre.  

SPORTS

The JV Girls’ Soccer Team won a 7 – 0 game against Harborview with goals by Kaley McMullin, Meghan Whalen, Meghan Craig and Meghan Morrison.

The Senior Field Hockey Team defeated Oromocto 4 – 0 last night, led by 3 goals from Aly Scholten, and 1 goal from Ali Griffin.  Kate Griffin recorded her 5^th shutout of the season.

Female Hockey Players are reminded of their tryouts.  Thursday 7:45 and Sunday at 5:45.  Both ice times are at Rothesay Arena NOT THE QPLEX.

Good Luck to the KVHS Golf Team as they head off to Provincials tomorrow.
