On the Menu today in the Cafeteria:  Thai beef with Oriental noodles and Chicken Noodle Soup.  Spaghetti and Meat Sauce.

 

GUIDANCE:

NBCC will be here on Wednesday, October 10th to meet with interested students.  Please sign up in the Guidance Department for a time slot.  This visit may be of particular interest to Grade 11 students as you should apply to NBCC in the Spring of your Grade 11 year.

 

This week is Mental Illness Awareness Week and NB Wellness Week.  To mark the week we have planned a week of activities that are good for your mental health.  Come to the lobby at lunch times for colouring, play-doh sculpturing, bubble wrap popping and more!

 

Are you interested in attending a week long national Leadership Conference in Ottawa?  Encounters Canada might be for you!  Ask your Advisory Teacher about this program and then see Mrs. Price if you are interested!

 

EVENTS:

It is finally here!  Blood Services Canada will be taking your donations today.  Drop in appointments are still available during Period 3 and Lunch.  Thank youIf you have not had breakfast, come by the Crusader Centre for a Granola Bar!

Attention all Grade 9’s!  Mark your calendars for October 11th as you will be having your first event as the Grade Class of 2022. Grade 9 night is right after school.  Stop by to enjoy some fun games and to share a few laughs with each other!

Spook Trail is coming Tuesday, October 30th.  Advisories are invited to participate.  Teachers, please check your emails and show the Spook Trail Intro power point before this Tuesday. Let’s Go KV!  Students, teachers, classes and clubs, get involved in this exciting event.

 

If you are interested in being a part of the Pumpkin Patch, there is a meeting being held in Mrs. Hachey’s room, Room 411 during Advisory today October 3, 2018.  Everyone is welcome!

 

All those interested in working with Mr. Standring for Spook Trail, go to Room 120 after announcements today.

 

Attention all Crusaders!  This is an important announcement for Miller Bowl this Saturday.  Before the game we will have our first football tailgate!  It starts at 11:30 here in the KV Parking lot.  Come out before the game and get some face paint, make  signs, do some cheers and of course feel free to bring your own food for the BBQ we will be having!  This is a school wide event so everyone should come before the big game!

 

Attention all grads!!! Book off October 17th as this is the night of Fall Feast.  This will be semi-formal Fall Dinner starting at 6:30 and going to 8:30.  Admission for those with last names starting with A – M is main course and N –Z is dessert.  Hope to see everyone.

Hilite Gallery Graduation Portrait sign-up sheets are located at the School Office.  Come pick a time to have your Grad Portraits starting October 18th.

 

CLUBS – TEAMS

There is a mandatory Ping-Pong Club Meeting at the beginning of noon today.  This meeting is for all those interested in joining the Club.  Be there today in Mr. Standring’s room, Room 120 Ping-Pong!

 

Could all members of Renaissance please meet on Thursday, October 4th at 12:30 p.m. in Mrs. Wright’s room, Room 136 in the Math wing.  New members are always welcome!

 

Attention Debaters – There will be a meeting on Thursday for anyone attending the RNS Tournament on October 13th.  Please meet in Mrs. Toner’s Room at 12:30

 

MUSIC - DRAMA – THEATRE – ART

Are you a Musician interested in learning how to write your own songs?  Award winning singer, songwriter Brent Mason is offering a songwriting workshop for interested students in the upcoming weeks.  If this might be something you would enjoy, please come to an information meeting tomorrow, Thursday at 2:30 in the Music Room or see Ms. Palmer ASAP for more information.

SPORTS

The Roster for the Boy’s Blue and White Hockey game is posted on the Announcement Board.

 

Congratulations to Cameron Harris and James Girdwood who came first and fifth at a Cross Country race yesterday in St. Stephen.  Also Cameron came first at a race in Moncton last weekend.  Congratulations to the Junior Boys for their well-deserved success​
