​Here are your morning announcements for October 4th , 2022.   

*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.  

First Half- Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green classrooms will report to cafeteria during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, black and white teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors.    

Second Half- Blue, Purple, Black, and White will report to cafeteria and grade level groups from Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym. 

Target Locations: This week the grade 6 groups will report to the Courtyard, grade 7 groups will report to the field, and grade 8 groups will report to the gym 

Rotation Flow Chart: Gym --> Courtyard --> Field --> Gym 

Reminders: 

  • Cafeteria: Grade level groups will continue to rotate eating in their classrooms due to overcrowding in the cafeteria. Our grade 8 classes will be eating in their homerooms during their designated eating time this week.  Staff, please follow the duty rotation sent out in the Sunday Memo.   

Important Info:  

  • Oct. 14: Grade 7 Immunization Day (please see the Bronco Broadcast for more information) 


Clubs and Activities: 

  • BAYSIDE FINE ARTS: 

  • BEGINNER BAND:   THIS WEEK at lunch (bring your lunch first half) – 

Tuesday – Clarinets and Saxophones. 

First AFTER SCHOOL practice will be on Wednesday, October 5th.  

  • CHOIR – Do you like to sing? Choir practice is now on Wednesdays at lunch.  New members welcome.  Come first half to eat and prepare to have fun singing second half.  

  • Tech Crew -  The list of Tech Crew students for initial training is posted outside the music room.  Any students not on the list will be notified through the year should any positions become available. 

  • GSA will meet Thursday at lunch in Mrs. Shannon’s room (314). All are welcome.  

  • Wednesday  Gr 6 Comics/Drawing Club will be happening in Mr. Carpenter’s classroom during lunch...he’s in Room 114. Sign-up sheet located outside of room 114. 

  • Board Game Club – Starting Tuesday October 11th in Mr. Swain’s room (237). Mr. Swain has a variety of board games to enjoy. Feel free to bring your own school appropriate board games. Bring your lunches and stay for the hour. Open to the first 20 students. 


BAYSIDE ATHLETICS:  

  • Boys Soccer: game today at PES please have drives arranged to arrive at 3:30. Practice Wednesday 3-4 at the fire station field. 

 

  • Girls Soccer  

  • Congrats to the girls soccer team on their 2-0 win over Sam de Cham!  

  • There will be a girls soccer game Wednesday vs River Valley at Forrest Hills.  

  • The Cross-country team will meet Thursday at lunch for our practice at the beginning of your activity zone. The next and final cross-country meet will be next Tuesday, October 11th at Forest Hills School. 

  •  

 

Cheerleading: Thank you to everyone who came and tried out! The team will be posted outside the gym by lunch hour today. The first practice will be held this Friday, October 7th after school from 3-5:30. Please have your hair up, jewelry off and gym clothes ready for practice. 

 
PE Leadership: 

Please see the list for leadership students to see which day you are scheduled.
