Minto Memorial High School Operational Plan 2020-2021 Revised.docx
I know that many of you are beginning to wonder about our graduation plans for June 2021. We received great new from our Superintendent, David McTimoney, this week regarding our event. If we remain in the Yellow Zone, we have been given permission to plan for a ceremony with a 50% capacity of the space being used. A reminder to parents and graduates that things can change quickly with Covid-19 and we may need to go with another plan. We are in the process of preparing our Operational Plan for Graduation 2021 and I know that you will be pleased that we are making every effort to make this a special day for our grads. Please note that graduation will be by invitation only and that it is not open to the community. A great deal of planning goes into preparing graduation and we will keep you posted as to how many invitations each graduating student will be allowed to have as well as details pertaining to the ceremony. Please stay safe and healthy!!
This announcement is for all parents/guardians of Minto Memorial High School Students. Please note that there is school for all Minto Memorial High School students on Friday March 19th and all students are expected to attend.
All schools in ASD-W are closed again today, Wednesday, February 3rd, due to poor road conditions. Once again, this cancellation impacts the start date of Semester 2. Today was meant to be a Turnaround Day for teachers to finalize report card marks and prepare for Semester 2. Due to the school cancellation, Thursday will now be the teacher Turnaround Day and there will be no school for students. As a result, the start date for Semester 2 has been moved to Friday, February 5th. A reminder that all grade 10 students will be attending on a full-time basis. We look forward to seeing you on Friday!
