​I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend so far with your family. How nice to have this gift in the middle of February.

Well, our 100th day of school will be Tuesday, February 20 and we ARE EXCITED! I have lots of fun activities planned for the children so I'm sure they will come home with lots of stories.

Our new Word Wall words this week will be could, would, their, these, they. Only 5 this week because some of them are pretty tough to figure out.

In writing, we are talking about and practicing, different ways that authors use to write their books. We know that the author tells us how to read the book and trying to put that into practice in our own writing. The children really seem to enjoy the idea that they are in charge of how the read has to read their story.

In math, we have talked about where numbers go on a number line when we only have some benchmark numbers to go by. Also, we are looking at making equal groups with and without singles left over.
