Good afternoon parents of the fabulous 5s!
 
Here is what we are learning in the grade 5 classroom this week...
 
French: We will be wrapping up our study of food this week which is earlier than expected, and will begin a thorough discussion of Christmas vocabulary followed by an introduction to our clothing unit. Next week, we will have two mystery chefs joining us.
 
IMORTANT REMINDER: Tomorrow, we will be making pita pizzas shortly before lunch. I have purchased a whole wheat pita for each student, however students are responsible for BRINGING THEIR OWN SAUCE AND TOPPINGS.  Looking forward to a delicious activity! :)
 
Math: Students have learned the basics in regards to division. They have explored division word problems, and this week we will begin 2 digit by 1 digit long division.
 
Important notes...
 
Literacy Night: Literacy Night is this Wednesday, from 6-7 pm. Students must be accompanied by a parent, and will enjoy learning about different ways in which to engage children in Literacy. There will also be milk and cookies served by the home and school!
 
Art Richard: Students will be travelling to Royal Road School on Friday, to enjoy French music by Art Richard.
