Weekly Memo - March 13-17

Good afternoon, MAS Families,

We had a very fun week this week with lots of excitement! On Monday, all students helped make a spaghetti, garlic bread and salad lunch using vegetables grown right here at MAS. Several students told me that it was the “best day ever!” We also had Kindness BINGO in the afternoon; congrats to Ms. McCabe’s class for being the big winners! We want to thank the Fredericton Police Force for judging our Black History Month bulletin boards. The boards were all amazing, but the one that came out on top was Ms. Boone’s class’ board! On Thursday, our students visited Nashwaaksis Memorial for a tour, dance party and lunch. We all felt very welcome and look forward to our next visit. Today, we gathered in the gym for a pj/movie.

We also want to congratulate community member Carolyn MacBeth for winning our gift card raffle draw! This fundraiser brought in over $1000 for student activities – amazing! We will make sure the remainder of the year is tons of fun! Thank you to everyone for supporting the school with this fundraiser.
